When the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra turns the stage into a world map, classical music becomes a real adventure – without a passport, but with keen ears. Leonard Eröd and Lena Grandl-Großmann will guide you through the program. Pack your bags? Book a ticket? Not necessary, a concert ticket is enough for this journey! In this family concert, we embark on a musical journey with the ORF RSO Vienna. Long before there were airplanes, Google Maps, or TikTok, composers traveled across Europe – on bumpy roads, with much curiosity and even more courage. Joseph Haydn made a career in London, Gioachino Rossini in Paris – and everywhere new sounds, new ideas, new hits emerged. Sometimes they sound like distant lands, as in Johannes Brahms' fiery Hungarian dance or Béla Bartók's captivating rhythms, sometimes they tell of great adventures. And the best part is: Many of these pieces are somehow already familiar, so the "Ah, THAT'S IT!" moments are pre-programmed. So: All aboard, please!
