Sixteen years ago, a special concert concept generated great enthusiasm among In Extremo fans. Under the title "Tranquilo," the band presented their songs for the first time in unexpectedly calm, acoustic arrangements, showing a very different side of their work. The response was overwhelming, and since then, many supporters have wished for a continuation of this extraordinary format. Now, it is finally happening. With "Tranquilo II," In Extremo is once again going on an acoustic tour. Sixteen years after the first chapter, much has happened. New albums have been released, numerous songs have found their way into the repertoire, and many of them are just waiting to be brought to life in a new, acoustic guise. The band’s decision to take this step fits perfectly with their self-understanding. In Extremo has always been considered particularly experimental and has earned a reputation for surprising their fans repeatedly with unusual concert ideas and special venues. From their early days at medieval markets to large festival and arena shows around the globe, they have continually proven that musical boundaries are not limitations but invitations. "Tranquilo II" continues this tradition consistently. The tour will deliberately take place in selected, especially atmospheric venues, including some of the most beautiful concert halls in the German-speaking region. Instead of large stages and pyrotechnic spectacles, this time the focus is on atmosphere, intimacy, and musical nuances. The audience can look forward to very special, intimate evenings. In Extremo will present their classics as well as rarely performed treasures in acoustic form, along with surprising reinterpretations of their hits and anthems. Familiar melodies will suddenly appear in a new light, sometimes stripped-down and touching, sometimes playful and surprising. For this tour, In Extremo has also come up with a special surprise. The band will be supported by top-tier guests and outstanding musicians: Oliver Satyr and Niel Mitra from Faun, as well as violinist Justin Ciuche, who will enrich the "Tranquilo" concept with additional sound colors and musical virtuosity. Faun is considered one of the leading bands worldwide in blending ancient sound worlds with modern music and has set international standards in this genre with numerous successful albums and hundreds of concerts. With their unmistakable sound of modern rock combined with centuries-old musical influences, In Extremo has created its own genre and has become probably the most well-known and successful medieval rock band in the world. Over three turbulent decades, the group has captivated a global audience of millions. Seven of their albums have been awarded gold or platinum, four of which reached number one on the German album charts. Despite the size of their stages, one thought has always been central for In Extremo: celebrating music, conviviality, and community together. They now want to make this feeling accessible in a new, intimate way with "Tranquilo II." For fans of the band and for everyone who wants to discover their music from a completely new perspective, this tour will be a very special experience. "Tranquilo II" is a must for every In Extremo fan.
