What's it about?

The world-famous performances of the Lipizzaner – the 'Ballet of the White Stallions' – take place in the magnificent Baroque Winter Riding School at the Hofburg, built between 1729 and 1735 under Charles VI. It is the most beautiful riding hall in the world! The performances are the result of years of training and intensive work by the grooms and their Lipizzaner horses. The spirited young stallions enchant the audience just as much as the fully trained school horses, which perform in the school quadrille, in exercises on and above the ground, in the Pas de Deux, and at the Long Rein. Enjoy this wonderful display by the grooms and their Lipizzaner horses, accompanied by classical Viennese music, in this atmospheric setting.
