20 Years of Viennese Soul - The Anniversary Show An institution of the Austrian music scene celebrates its 20th band anniversary with an Arena Open Air concert! 5/8erl in Ehr’n have probably made the coziest and coolest contribution to the sound of the city with their VIENNESE SOUL. It started as an insider tip with groovy dialect songs and allusions to Viennese folk songs, but soon with their first hit SIASSE TSCHICK it went in the direction of FM4 and pop culture. The band's oeuvre is diverse, as is their audience. Their song BADESCHLUSS is the comforting, melancholic closing song in Vienna's baths and made the band legendary, from Laaerbergbad to Gänsehäufel. The chorus of VAPORIZER is sung along just as confidently in Berlin as in Graz. “As if Stevie Wonder had smoked a Sacher torte!” says Bavarian Radio about the coolness of the Viennese band. With special guests and companions from 20 years of band history, the music of the 8erln will be celebrated live in the Arena Wien. A atmospheric evening is guaranteed, showcasing the band's full range: from soulful ballads to comical burlesques.
