((szene)) Soundgarden presented by ROCK ANTENNE Österreich with: METTERNICH - princely Strizzirock from Vienna A sound that mercilessly and directly slaps you, a singer with a killer voice who tells stories from Viennese everyday life, a koala bear from Schönbrunn who can play guitar like no other, a bassist who pulls lines like a world champion, and a drummer who really pounds. That is Metternich. Expressive rock anthems with a good portion of charm are celebrated, like a well-deserved beer in the afternoon at the local pub around the corner. "Metternich is a princely-cheeky rock band from Vienna, which, with a lot of charm and Viennese dialect, embeds its pointed lyrics on crashing guitar walls - charming, loud and wonderfully different." DA WINKLA (aka Markus Winkler, formerly guitarist & songwriter of "Ecliptica" and "Weanviertler") & SEINE HÖDN play: "Dialect music, in the style of the 70s," as DA WINKLA likes to say. Basically, a reminiscence of a time when Austro-Pop was born and learned to walk. These are songs that, with great attention to detail, breathe the craftsmanship of Austrian singer-songwriters. Deeply rooted in Viennese culture, DA WINKLA, accompanied by SEINE HÖDN, tells very personal stories of interpersonal encounters and life in and of itself. Or, one could also say, the lyrics of the songs are a bit like writing a diary. And, yes - it's clear, in addition to the new songs, DA WINKLA & SEINE HÖDN naturally also perform some songs from his former (cult) band "Weanviertler" as well as other classics from music history.
