What's it about?

The musical journey goes from old Viennese songs "from the bottom drawer" to Horst Chmela and Karl Hodina. But excursions through classical Viennese cabaret from Bronner to Qualtinger, from Kreisler to Wehle, are also a must for a real Weana Gaude. The program is musically supported by Herbert Schöndorfer (accordion) and Viktor Poslusny (contra-guitar). You might ask yourself: why is that? Is Lang doing everything now? The answer is very simple: NO, not EVERYTHING. There have always been points of contact with Viennese music, as his first public appearances as a teenager were with Viennese songs. After that came a long dry spell; until the musical "Wien hat den Blues" was shown at the Wiener Metropol. Andy sang in German and Viennese dialect. This was followed by guest appearances on Radio Wien's "Sprechen Sie Wienerisch" and at Horst Chmela's gala. Last year, Andy was finally honored for his services to the Wienerlied at the big Wienerlied Gala in the City Hall. That was the definitive occasion to dedicate himself more to this genre again.
