Embark on a unique journey into the past! In the Rosental, just a few minutes' drive south of Klagenfurt, historical technology comes alive again. Your journey through time begins at Weizelsdorf station. You leave the present behind and enter the premises. Immediately, our historical wagons or the old station building catch your eye. In the latter, our staff is already waiting and sells tickets here. You go to the platform and take a seat in one of our passenger cars. A whistle sounds and the train slowly starts to move. You open the window – we don't have air conditioning! During the outward journey, our staff greets you and tells you interesting facts about the route, the vehicles, and the region. Tickets are also checked. In Ferlach, you change trains. With our Histotram and our vintage buses, you are taken directly to the Historama Museum, Austria's second-largest transport museum, where many interesting exhibits await you. After almost an hour's stay, you return to Ferlach station – where you board the nostalgia train again. On the way, our staff checks your tickets and is happy to provide you with information about other regional excursion destinations. Tip: Our "Rosentaler Nostalgiezüge" can also be reached as a day trip with the Koralmbahn. From Koralmbahn-Bahnhof Klagenfurt Hbf., the S-Bahn line S3 takes you to Weizelsdorf, where you can change to our trains. Operating days Every Saturday and Sunday from July 11 to September 13, 2026.
