
The Porcia Theaterwagen rolls into Lienz again on August 26th and stops in the parking lot in front of Schloss Bruck. This year, too, it has a play for young audiences in tow. What is "The Owl Girl" about? Marie lives with her parents at the edge of the forest, far from the village. She plays with all the animals and talks to the flowers, the trees, and the wind. Why shouldn't she talk to the owl she finds and raises? Others can't understand this; they find Marie strange. But what is strange, and where is the line between strange and wise? The hunter initially doesn't take Marie seriously. He has a practical approach to the forest and its creatures. But Marie and the owl are very clever. He and the stubborn mayor will learn to listen to the wisdom of the animals and follow their ways. If only humans and animals would listen to each other much more, they would be unbeatable.
