In my collages, I use old papers, pictures, and writings, which I consciously reassemble. The past thus gains new meaning and becomes part of a contemporary image with depth and history. For me, art means relaxation, joy, and inner balance. My paintings are like my children – with each work, I pass on a piece of myself to people who appreciate my work and enjoy it. My love for the sea plays a special role. Its vastness, movement, and changeability touch me again and again and flow – sometimes clearly, sometimes only hinted at – into my works.
