Gemeindewandertag 2026
What's it about?
Heartfelt invitation to the Gemeindewandertag 2026 on Monday, October 26, 2026. Meeting point at 08:30 AM at the municipal office in Rennweg. Rennweg – Preling – St. Georgen – Mühlbach – Leitensteig – Kalvarienberg – Oberdorf. Led by our experienced hiking guide Mr. Franz Payer, we will hike this year from Rennweg via St. Georgen along the Leitensteig to Kalvarienberg and then down to Oberdorf. In Oberdorf, we are invited by Ms. Marlene Pirich to visit the unique “Pocherhaus,” which previously housed, among other things, the Lodron forge (“Schmittn”) and the miners' accommodations. A small refreshment is prepared for all participants at the Pocherhaus. The Gemeindewandertag will conclude here with musical accompaniment. The hiking day will take place – except in very wet and cold weather – in all weather conditions! (Participation at your own risk) We look forward to your participation, beautiful autumn weather, and a wonderful, interesting hike.
