The Groppenstein Gorge captivates visitors both by day and by night. The illumination of the gorge highlights special formations of rocks and walls, ravines and waterfalls, roots, trees, and lichens – light accents. At the same time, perception is sharpened in the darkness. The few stars visible in the section of the gorge seem more distant than usual.
