Energy Day at Haus Blatthofer
What's it about?
The event offers visitors the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of an extraordinary energy concept. For more than ten years, the Obernosterer family has been generating electricity and heat from regional residual wood and wood chips with the help of a wood-power plant. This supplies the guesthouse, the farm, and a local heating network. In addition, the generated heat is used for drying processes. On site, visitors will learn: how electricity and heat are generated from residual wood and wood chips, how regional resources can be used economically, how energy costs can be reduced, how an independent and regional energy supply works in practice, and what experiences operators have gathered after more than 10 years of plant operation. The wood-power plant can be visited during operation. In addition, there is the opportunity to talk directly with the operator and the experts from Spanner Re²...
