
Rescued from extinction and re-cultivated by the Landmais farmer Sepp as "Gailtaler white Landmais" The "Gailtaler white Landmais" is an old, centuries-old, unchanged corn variety that had almost been forgotten. A mountain guide, nature lover and passionate organic farmer rediscovered the seeds on his farm. Previously, the ancient corn had to make way for more productive hybrid varieties, before Sepp Brandstätter began to cultivate this corn variety again and to find suitable soils in the Gailtal. Free from artificial fertilizers, but with a lot of idealism and commitment, the robust and absolutely GMO-free and gluten-free grain now grows again around Brandstätter's farm in Würmlach.
