Brass band fans will experience an exciting mix of proven sound and fresh ideas with Alexander Wurz and the Egerländer. Here, musical experience meets new impulses. - On their big anniversary tour, they not only bring decades of musical history with them - but also a new musical director. Alexander Wurz leads the Egerländer tradition into the future with a fresh sound and his own signature. And even if the "Original Egerländer Musikanten" constantly reinvent themselves - the orchestra stands like hardly any other for lived musical continuity, craftsmanship precision and brass music at the highest level.Since its founding by Ernst Mosch in 1956, the "Original Egerländer Musikanten" have made a name for themselves worldwide. Mosch shaped the typical, emotional and at the same time swinging sound. Ernst Hutter led the orchestra into the 21st century during the last 25 years with his own arrangements and a new generation of soloists and, with "his Egerländer", his perseverance and his visions, paved the way for the brass music enthusiasm now felt everywhere across all generations. Now, with Alexander Wurz, the next step follows: The 39-year-old tenor horn player and conductor, himself part of the orchestra for 15 years, was chosen by Ernst Hutter as his successor. With him, the ensemble remains true to its line - and at the same time has fully arrived in the here and now.Wurz does what Mosch and Hutter did before him: develop the orchestra further with a feeling for tradition, set new impulses - and carry the music into the future with passion.
