Georg Danzer turns 80 – musicians, friends, and companions bring his songs to the stage. The tour celebrates classics, rarities, and the life of the song poet throughout Austria. - 2026 | THE DANZER YEAR 80 YEARS OF GEORG DANZER DANZERMANIA GOES ON TOUR Since 2008, friends and companions of the composer and author GEORG DANZER, who passed away far too soon and can undoubtedly be described as one of the greatest song poets of our country, have annually celebrated the birthday of the audience favorite. Under the title "Danke Danzer" and since 2016 also under the title "DanzerMania", concerts have always taken place in Vienna in October, during which Danzer band musicians ULLI BÄER, LENNY DICKSON, THOMAS MORA and MARTIN MADER as well as ANDY BAUM, MATTHIAS KEMPF, co-initiator CHRISTIAN BECKER and numerous local greats from music and cabaret celebrate Danzer's countless songs. The band with the aforementioned performers, supported by the vocally and humorously powerful artists TINI KAINRATH and EVA MARIA MAROLD as well as other guests who will vary from place to place but will certainly be there with heart and joy (info to follow), will celebrate the great successes as well as special treats and Danzer's life on stages across Austria and, together with the audience, will certainly ensure unforgettable evenings. The manager and friend of the jubilarian, BLACKY SCHWARZ, supports the gathering of friends on and off stage with witty words and the spirit he brings from his years of collaboration with Georg Danzer. Now, for his 80th birthday in 2026 and in honor of a musician who was also known and loved for his social commitment and backbone, and who is certainly waving admonishingly from a cloud, especially now, in turbulent times like the present, the DanzerMania gang has decided to travel through the country and not only perform in the federal capital. We hereby proclaim it: The DANZER YEAR 2026!
