Brass Herbst 2026: Brass Band Oberösterreich

What's it about?

The Brass Band Oberösterreich was founded in 2002 as a project of the Upper Austrian Provincial Music School Association and unites teachers, students and orchestra musicians from all over Upper Austria. Since 2020, the ensemble has been led by MD Günther Reisegger, who has led the band with passion and precision to the top of the international brass band scene.Participations in the EBBC in Birmingham (2022), Palanga (2024) and Stavanger (2025) – with an outstanding 5th place in the own-choice piece – confirm the band's place in the European elite. As the reigning Austrian champion, the Brass Band OÖ is now preparing for the major highlight, the EBBC 2026 in the Brucknerhaus Linz.As part of the opening concert of the Carinthian Brass Herbst 2026, the Brass Band Oberösterreich presents a special highlight: The three winning works of the 1st CMA Composition Competition for Brass Band will be premiered and awarded on this evening.
