What's it about?

Music and literature, but also encounters and conversations, are central components of the Carinthischer Sommer concept. On this special day of our festival, the team enters into a direct dialogue with the audience. The discussion will be about favorite texts and favorite pieces, about what touches, moves, and inspires in art. People connected to Carinthischer Sommer will talk about books that have accompanied them for years and about authors they are fond of. Works of Old and New Music will also be performed. The entire Ossiach Abbey will become a stage on this day. The day begins with a reading by Robert Menasse. Afterwards, various program points invite discovery, including a world premiere by Gerd Kühr.
