The Bleistätter Moor was originally one of the largest moor areas in Carinthia, covering an area of around 600 hectares. The many different habitats of the protected area are of high ecological value. The extensive area is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in Carinthia. It can be wonderfully explored via a roughly 7 km long "Slow Trail", which offers resting places at bird-watching spots. The tours are sponsored by the Province of Carinthia – Dept. of Nature Conservation and are free of charge. Info/Registration: Mag. Ulrike Knely +43 699 181 777 37
