Sinfonía del sur Julia Malischnig Project Monday, November 23, 2026 7:30 PM, Congress Center Villach, Josef-Resch-Saal 6:45 PM, Congress Center Villach, Introduction to the concert evening by Julia Malischnig (guitar, vocals) Cecilio Perera (guitar) Klaus Paier (accordion) Asja Valčić (cello) Benjamin Ziervogel (violin) Wolfgang Puschnig (flute, saxophone) Klaus Lippitsch (percussion) Marina Razumovskaja (castanets, dance) Elias Morales Pérez (flamenco dance) With "Sinfonía del Sur," the Julia Malischnig Project unfolds a vibrant musical panorama that combines the warmth of the South, the energy of flamenco, and the depth of Iberian-American music in a powerful concert evening. The project invites a colorful journey full of emotion, rhythmic intensity, and lively expression — a celebration of joy of life, encounter, and artistic freedom. At the center is Carinthian exceptional guitarist Julia Malischnig, whose unmistakable combination of guitar and vocals characterizes the evening. Together with international top musicians, a sound fabric is created that merges Mediterranean lightness, virtuosic joy of playing, and poetic depth. The music develops in a lively dialogue between guitars, strings, accordion, saxophone, bass, percussion, and is enhanced by the dance presence of castanets and flamenco, adding further expressive power. Projections of the marble heads by artist Harald Schreiber add a visual dimension to the performance. Sinfonía del Sur thus becomes a total work of art that unites sound, movement, and emotion into a vibrant whole — a homage to friendship, artistic freedom, and the inspiration of the South.
