In moments that tip over or in objects that can shatter. The world as a whole is fragile – in relationships, society, and nature. This interdisciplinary annual exhibition by the Kunstverein postWERK, however, highlights the delicate as a state that does not mean weakness but attention. Where something is unstable, there is also space for change. Artists from Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and Iran present works that do not hide cracks but make them visible. Painting, photography, installation, literature, and performance intertwine into a network of sensitive observations and open questions. The works address vulnerability in material and human terms, focus on fragile ecosystems, and the fragility of our shared future. They also explore how uncertainties can connect us and what responsibilities arise from this. The postWERK exhibition "FRAGIL" as part of the Triennale IV Kärnten 2026 with the theme "weak • šibko • debole" invites viewers to look more closely. Not at what is firmly in place, but at what is moving. At what is on the verge of falling apart or growing. An extension of storytelling beyond the visible.
