Oslo Stories: Dreams (Dag Johan Haugerud, Norway 2024) A literarily astute 17-year-old student falls in love for the first time, of all people with her art and literature teacher, and does everything to become intimate with the educator. She records her feelings and thoughts in a manuscript, the reading of which is controversially received by her mother and grandmother, because it confronts the older women with their own unfulfilled dreams and longings. The carefully woven plot is embedded in a highly reflexive narrative construct, in which love, sex and literary writing are reflected upon from three different female perspectives.
