Born in Slovakia, Susanne Gregor came to Austria at the age of nine. Today, she is one of the renowned voices in Austrian literature, telling stories between two countries with precise language and great depth. Her text for Carinthischer Sommer revolves around remembering the time of the Iron Curtain, and civil courage despite looming personal disadvantages. The Austrian guitarist, singer, and composer Julia Malischnig combines virtuosity and emotionality in her playing.
