Frauenstein Castle is the starting point of this beautiful hike, which mainly leads through shady mixed forests. The late medieval castle, which is privately owned, is one of the best preserved late Gothic castles in Carinthia. The municipality of Frauenstein has many stone witnesses to offer. The ruins of the castles in the Kraiger See valley are still well preserved and bear witness to a dark period in our history. Austrian Guide Michael Jaritz, who leads the tour, knows many historical facts, but also many anecdotes about the relics. The hike leads along the panoramic path to Lake Kraiger See, which also invites you to a refreshing dip in the cool water.Registration until 12 p.m. the day before at the Mittelkärnten Tourist Information:Tel: +43 4212 45608info@mittelkaernten.atCosts: 10,- for adultsChildren from 6 - 14 years: 5,-free with the Wörthersee Pluscard, available from landlords
