Bartlumzug durch St. Veit/Glan

What's it about?

Since last year, the traditional St. Veit/Glan Bartl parade has been held on a new route – and it is very popular. The parade starts on Friday, December 5th, at the Oktober intersection and proceeds along the Ossiacher Bundesstraße (B94) to the Hrust intersection. From there, it continues over Herzog Bernhard Platz, where the children's zone is located – an area where visitors of all ages can experience the Bartl up close and in a relaxed atmosphere. Through Lugenbrückl, the 25 groups finally reach the main square, where host Seppi Rukavina welcomes all participants. Along the way, local innkeepers provide warming drinks. Children's zone – frightfully tame: Last year, the newly created children's zone at Herzog Bernhard Platz proved to be a crowd magnet. Here, visitors can experience the traditional festivities in a relaxed setting up close. "The Bartl is part of Carinthian customs, and we want even the youngest to experience this..."
