GMK – An Artistic Body of Work

What's it about?

What has accumulated over 70 years of artistic work cannot be confined to a single theme. Nor does it have to be: watercolors are encountered alongside oil paintings, drawings meet printmaking, early works contrast with later ones – a lively studio wall full of surprising neighbors. This diversity is held together by an artist: GMK | Gerda Madl-Kren. At 85 years old, she looks back on a long, successful career. We bring her works into the light and invite visitors to look, discover, and perhaps find a picture they want to live with in the future.
