The Wörthersee Gala invites you to an unforgettable summer evening full of great emotions and musical highlights. Our aim is to inspire people for the fascinating world of opera and operetta and to share the passion for this timeless music with our audience. The top-class gala concert will once again take place in the Casineum Velden and, under the artistic direction of soprano Marilene Novak, has long since established itself as a fixture in the Carinthian cultural summer. Together with the Italian tenor Marco Ascani, she presents famous arias and unforgettable melodies from opera and operetta, e.g. "Una furtiva lagrima", "Funiculì, Funiculà", "Meine Lippen sie küssen so heiß" - a musical delight that will enchant the summer night. Opera expert Gerhard Pohl charmingly and knowledgeably guides through the evening and provides exciting insights into the works and their backgrounds. The soloists are accompanied by the Canta Classica Ensemble - six outstanding local musicians who also enrich the evening with solo contributions. The entire concert is performed acoustically, without electronic amplification and completely live. Seating is unassigned.
