What's it about?
Creating places, rethinking spaces: A high-profile panel discussion on the architectural and social future of urban open spaces How can synergies create spaces that strengthen communities and activate regional potential – in the countryside and in the city? How can unused existing buildings become new places for living and working together? And how can future perspectives be developed away from tourist monoculture and the sadness of emigration? – These and similar questions will be addressed in the second round of talks as part of the festival, which aims to show the potential that lies dormant in the creative activation of living and working spaces. The guests will be announced shortly. The panel discussions do not begin with arguments, but with a moment: A text, a voice, an image or a sound opens the space – quietly, concentrated, perhaps surprisingly. These artistic interventions are intended as an invitation: to listen, to pause, to think along and further. Then the conversation begins. And this conversation deliberately does not follow the classic logic of expert rounds. Instead, different approaches meet: people with experience and people with questions, practitioners and seekers, perspectives that complement, contradict and lead on. It is not about ready-made answers, but about a common, creative reflection on central questions of our time – from economics to the design of spaces to learning about the future. We hope for conversations that are open, sometimes tentative, focused where necessary – but always driven by the conviction that new ideas emerge where different voices work together.
