Beatbox meets classical music: Let yourself be surprised! When one of the best beatboxers in the country meets two cellists, something emerges that defies usual categories. Cemplified and Samuel Plieger combine two sound worlds into a set that moves between rock, rhythm, and reduction – direct, physical, and without electronic effects. Plieger works exclusively with voice and microphone. The classically trained cellists Julian Walkner and Peter Polzer play on instruments from the 18th century – in addition to their own compositions, pieces by Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones, or Queen are reinterpreted. What emerges here is not a crossover, but a musical approach that opens new doors.
