1st Wörthersee Marathon On September 27, 2026, the 1st Wörthersee Marathon celebrates its premiere, bringing a new sporting highlight to the region. The event is fully booked, with over 8,000 runners from over 36 countries at the start of the various running competitions, 4,200 of them covering the entire distance around Lake Wörthersee.The running route, approximately 42 km long, leads around Lake Wörthersee and also through Krumpendorf, which will result in some road closures in the town.We ask you to observe these on September 27, 2026, between 10:00 AM and approximately 6:00 PM, as follows, and thank you for your understanding: B83 (from Koschatweg height / towards Pörtschach) | Koschatweg | Südbahnweg | Strandweg continuing to Klagenfurt Click here for the Wörthersee Marathon website
