Art ExhibitionKARIN PLIEM I HORTUS DELICIARUMIn her five-part installation in the garden house of Ebenau Castle, Karin Pliem shows us a path through the vital order of material nature into the "seventh heaven", which, according to Aristotle, marks the threshold from the outermost sphere of the sensually perceptible world to the invisible spiritual world - a timeless and spaceless state of density, relationship, and resonance.The path there begins in an ambiance titled "Garden of Delights" (hortus deliciarum) made up of real, plastically-spatially arranged natural objects and virtually-painterly articulated pictorial worlds.
