Tonč Feinig & The Little Big Band - Rosental/Rož Festival
What's it about?
When Tonč Feinig & The Little Big Band take the stage, a soundscape emerges that feels both intimate and orchestral. At the Rož/Rosental Festival on November 7, 2026, at the Kulturhaus Feistritz in Rosental, the audience can expect a diverse evening blending jazz, soul, and poetic improvisation. The program features pieces that have defined Tonč Feinig for years and are especially appreciated by his audience — compositions with melodic depth, rhythmic sophistication, and a distinctive handwriting. At the same time, the ensemble will present new songs that develop the characteristic sound of the Little Big Band further and give space for their soloists to shine. A performance in Feistritz im Rosental, Feinig's hometown, is a special event for him. Here are his roots, and here his musical journey began. Returning to this stage connects personal history with artistic present — a home game in the best sense, driven by connection, gratitude, and artistic maturity. Sometimes floating and lyrical, sometimes powerfully grooving, a musical tension unfolds, combining chamber-music finesse with the energy of a large sound body. Feinig's sensitive yet powerful piano playing forms the center — surrounded by warm horn sections, colorful arrangements, and inspired improvisation. A concert that makes familiar sounds audible in a new way and opens up fresh sound worlds — lively, nuanced, and full of musical passion.
