On November 11th, not only is the start of Carnival, but Ferlach also hosts the traditional Martinimarkt (St. Martin's Market) on this day. 'Haße, Haße,...', echoes again across the Hauptplatz Ferlach. Over 40 vendors sell everything the heart desires at the Martinimarkt: underwear, tools, toys, textiles, dishes, pots, socks, shoes, belts, and much more. A culinary variety is also offered at the Ferlach Martinimarkt. And if you get hungry while browsing, you'll find a range of treats from sausages and roasted chestnuts to cream rolls.
