What's it about?

Elementary school teacher Michele Cortese wants to start a completely new life. After teaching for 40 years in the urban jungle of Rome, he requests a transfer to an idyllic village in the Abruzzo region to teach the last 7 schoolchildren of a small village school. He finds it difficult to get used to the snow and icy cold and to shed his Roman habits. In the dedicated Agnese, he finds an understanding colleague. With her help and thanks to the spirited children, Michele gradually manages to settle into the mountains. Everything seems to be turning for the better when unpleasant news arrives: the school has not reached the required number of students for the next year and is to be closed forever.
