What's it about?

Since 1968, the town of Bleiburg has dedicated a monographic museum to the painter Werner Berg (1904-1981). The representative house on Bleiburg's main square has since become a magnet for art lovers from around the world. It displays the artist's oeuvre, whose artistic starting point was German Expressionism, in a unique interaction of art and environment in the core area of his origins. The annually changing exhibitions always aim to find a thematic dialogue between Werner Berg's work and the respective special exhibition. Werner Berg's art thus becomes experienceable for repeat visitors from constantly new perspectives.
