
The city of Bleiburg has dedicated a monographic museum to the painter Werner Berg (1904-1981) since 1968. The representative building on Bleiburg's main square has since become a magnet for art lovers from all over the world. It shows the artist's oeuvre, whose artistic starting point was German Expressionism, in a unique interplay of art and environment in the core area of its origin. The annually changing exhibitions always try to find a thematic dialogue between Werner Berg's work and the respective special exhibition. Werner Berg's art can thus be experienced from constantly new perspectives, even for repeat visitors.
