29th Guinness IRISH CHRISTMAS LAOISE KELLY (IE) THE McGOLDRICK FAMILY (IE/GB) CASSIE & MAGGIE MacDONALD (CAN) With a very diverse program titled "Diaspora" and dominated by women power, we celebrate the twenty-ninth edition of the successful show Guinness IRISH CHRISTMAS - the original show. The diaspora affects both the McGoldricks, whose parents had to leave Ireland and who grew up in the Irish community of Manchester, and Cassie & Maggie MacDonald, whose ancestors were deported from the Scottish Highlands to Canada along with tens of thousands of other Scots during the "Highland Clearances" by the British occupiers in the late 18th century. The harp superstar LAOISE KELLY will open the concert in a stylish manner. Afterwards, the incredibly spirited sisters CASSIE & MAGGIE MacDONALD from Nova Scotia will take the stage. They will deliver a fiery fireworks display of fast tunes, step dance, and more.
