What's it about?

The Klagenfurt City Transport Museum takes visitors on an exciting journey through the history of public transportation in Klagenfurt. In seven display rooms, the development of shipping, tram, and bus services since 1853 is vividly presented. Located in a former ORF broadcasting building in the natural area of Lendspitz, the museum combines historical exhibits with regional transportation history. A special experience is the Lendcanal tramway, where lovingly restored historic trams depart on demand every full and half hour during good weather and can be experienced in action. The museum is open every Saturday and Sunday during the season and is suitable for families, technology enthusiasts, and anyone interested in discovering Klagenfurt's past in a special way. The attached Cinema Museum showcases, among other things, the history of film since 1896 — including the first traveling cinemas, the oldest film equipment, and more.
