What's it about?

This is a scenic 7.5-mile retrace hike in the northern section of Shenandoah National Park, following the ridgeline mostly along the Appalachian Trail with about 1,200 feet of elevation gain. Expect expansive valley views along the way and sweeping 270–360° panoramas from Mary’s Rock summit. The route also passes the Pinnacles—an unusual Pedlar Formation granite outcrop that’s great for exploring and photos.
