What's it about?

Lake Wörthersee is more than just a swimming paradise - it's also for athletic swimmers. Swimming instead of Bathing takes place at Strandbad Klagenfurt! The "Wörthersee Schifffahrt" transports participants to the starting point on the "Maiernigg - Schrottturm" line. After the "engines off", participants safely enter the water of Lake Wörthersee via ladders. Accompanied by emergency services from the Austrian Water Rescue, participants swim approximately 1,200 meters in a corridor closed to other boat traffic, back to the destination and event area at Strandbad Klagenfurt.
