Ascent of Hoher Dachstein (B/C)

What's it about?

The almost 3000m high Dachstein is one of the really big mountains in the Alps. Depending on the glacier conditions, we will ascend either via the Randkluft, or via the slightly longer Schulteranstieg. These ascents are continuously secured with a via ferrata (difficulty B, section C). The scenically impressive, but somewhat longer traverse (West Ridge) with the return via the Steinerscharten can also be undertaken. Climbing technical skill is not absolutely necessary, but fitness and a head for heights are. The tour ends at approx. 2:00 PM. Meeting point 7:30 AM Dachsteinseilbahn valley station. Costs: from 160,- Euro, includes guide and equipment.
