What's it about?

The fascination of the Dachstein glacier fields – contrasted by the high-alpine pastures of this unique landscape. Guided hike from the Dachstein Glacier Railway mountain station (2,700 m) to Guttenberghaus (2,146 m) and descent via Lärchbodenalm to the Feisterer parking lot. Meeting point 8:00 AM, valley station of the Dachstein Glacier Railway The starting point and destination are different, so do not drive your car up the Dachstein road. Instead, take the first scheduled bus (960) departing from Schladming Rathausplatz (07:20) or Ramsau Kulm, which ends at the valley station of the Dachstein Glacier Railway (8:00 AM). The mountain guide will make themselves known on the bus and the cable car will be reserved for you. Tour Walking time: approx. 6 hours, the tour ends around 12:00 PM at Guttenberghaus, descent is self-guided. Moderately difficult terrain, only possible with good equipment and good physical condition. Travel by scheduled bus, pick-up options along the main road.
