Basic Mountaineering Course

What's it about?

Date: Thu, 23.07. Sun, 26.07.2026 During this week, various aspects of mountaineering will be covered. We will spend a day walking with crampons and doing various crevasse exercises on the Dachstein Glacier and practice for upcoming high-altitude tour goals :-)! Furthermore, lead climbing, top-rope climbing, and as a technical highlight, the rope team procedure are on the program. This also includes multiple abseiling from a wall. We will take time for topics such as tour planning, weather lore, and generally correct behavior on the mountain. This extensive basic knowledge should be the foundation for safe mountaineering.
