What's it about?
I am a child of the city – Viennese since 1943. 'The Voice' Chris Lohner talks openly about her childhood from 1943 to 1955. She was born in the middle of the war, which was to last two more years after her birth. A child who soon proved to be a free spirit, growing up curious and adventurous in war-torn Vienna. As a young eyewitness, she experienced an exciting Vienna full of adventures, which she describes in detail in her book. A journey into the remarkable childhood of Chris Lohner in Vienna, which was full of both difficulties and deprivations, but also always humorous, with all its ups and downs. The highlight of her story is witnessing the signing of the State Treaty, which she experienced at nearly 13 years old together with her parents and thousands of Viennese in the Belvedere Palace gardens. And so a new chapter of life began, marking the end of this exciting, very personal, and authentic time travel into a not uncomplicated, but still happy childhood.
