What's it about?
The Hubertus hunt in Pusterwald is a traditional folk festival in honor of Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters and forests. Pusterwald is located in the Styrian Murtal, surrounded by extensive forests and alpine landscapes that have been shaped by hunting culture for centuries. During the Hubertus hunt, hunters, music bands, and villagers gather for a festive procession and a ceremony that keeps the old customs alive. The festival traditionally takes place around the feast day of Saint Hubert on November 3rd and combines religious tradition with rural community life. Besides the festive atmosphere, the event offers the opportunity to experience hunting traditions and community spirit in rural areas firsthand.
