Since ancient times, mineral resources have been sought in the remote forests of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge. The mining of iron ore dates back to the Middle Ages. The mining of bauxite gained great importance in the 20th century.Visitors to the Knappenhaus Unterlaussa embark on a journey through time into the 800-year mining tradition of this area.
