Kein Platz für Idioten
What's it about?
A play by Felix Mitterer Starring Rudi Larsen, Florian Sendlhofer, Nici Neiss, Leila Strahl, Alois Frank, Felix Kurmayer, Rochus Millauer, Judith Rumpf Directed by Marcus Strahl Stage design by Martin Gesslbauer Costumes by Petra Teufelsbauer On the 50th anniversary of this play, Neue Bühne Wien presents Felix Mitterer's brilliant debut success, which propelled him into the forefront of Austrian writers — a piece of enduring relevance for the whole family. Content: Sebastian receives attention, affection, and loving, supportive understanding from a single pensioner, which his parents and the village community fail to provide. Under his patient care, the boy develops skills that had been stunted by the brutal neglect of his perceived inferiority. He learns to speak, do math, and play the flute. But when the boy, in his naivety, one day admires the femininity of a bathing girl, the village community brands him as a potential morality offender. The quiet happiness of the two social outcasts is in danger.
