What's it about?
Dave has worked as a doorman. Now the AMS (Austrian Public Employment Service) sends him to an art gallery: he is to guard a single painting — a huge portrait of Jesus! 18+!!! Who comes up with such ideas? Is this supposed to be art? The longer Dave stands in front of the scandalous picture, the more it becomes his image. He begins to defend it: against outraged visitors, flying eggs, and ultimately against the question of who is actually using whom here. Funny, gritty, and surprisingly tender, Nick Hornby ('High Fidelity', 'About a Boy') tells the story of a man who falls in love with art, and of an art world that plays with provocation. An evening about art, faith, scandal — and about what truly makes something valuable.
