For the whole family, Marko Simsa - Bombo, Poncho & Guitar - Latin American folk music for people aged 4 and up. Wednesday, March 10, 2027, at 10 AM and 3 PM, Kulturhaus Knittelfeld, White Hall. Marko Simsa tells stories about life in and from South America. We learn that people there wear 'Ponchos' and get to know musical instruments that some of you may have never seen before. For example, the rhythm is played on the 'Bombo' (a large drum made from a hollowed-out tree trunk, stretched with goat skin). The rattle made from goat toenails is also fascinating, and the 'Charango' is a plucked string instrument with ten strings (five double strings) and a curved resonator body, which was once made from a armadillo shell but is now crafted from wood. We hear the story of the fox and the clever mouse, make a poncho with colorful patterns, and of course, there will be group dances at our concert, because who can stay seated for long with these Latin American rhythms...?! Cast: Pacha Manka - four musicians from Chile and Peru, Marko Simsa - narrator.
