2026 - 2027 | THE DANZER YEAR 80 YEARS OF GEORG DANZER DanzerMania Goes on Tour Since 2008, friends and companions of the much too early deceased composer and author Georg Danzer, who can undoubtedly be called one of the greatest song poets of our country, have been celebrating his birthday every year. Under the title "Danke Danzer" and since 2016 also under the title "DanzerMania," concerts have taken place in Vienna every October, during which Danzer's band musicians Ulli Bäer, Lenny Dickson, Thomas Mora, and Martin Mader, as well as Andy Baum, Matthias Kempf, co-initiator Christian Becker, and numerous local figures from music and cabaret, celebrate Danzer's countless songs. The band, featuring the aforementioned performers, supported by the powerful voices and wit of artists Tini Kainrath and Eva Maria Marold, along with other guests who will vary from place to place but will certainly be involved with heart and joy (more info to follow), will celebrate Danzer's major successes, special gems, and his life on stages across Austria, and will surely create unforgettable evenings together with the audience. The manager and friend of the jubilarian, Blacky Schwarz, supports the gathering of friends on and off stage with witty words and the spirit he has infused through years of collaboration with Georg Danzer. Now, for the milestone birthday in 2026 and in honor of a musician known and loved for his social engagement and integrity, who especially in these turbulent times might also serve as a warning from above, the DanzerMania crew has decided to tour the country and not only perform in the capital city. We hereby declare: The DANZER YEAR 2026 - 2027!
