Maria Ma - Pur
What's it about?
In 2024, she debuted with "Maria Ma PUR" at the Vienna Concert House and has since shared with her audience what has become her most intense and important musical expression over the years: her own hammered dulcimer compositions, in which floating soundscapes intertwine with complex rhythms, but also reveal folk music roots. Her fellow musicians include guitarist Thomas Hechenberger, who also tours with Josh., and her bassist Mischa Krausz, who has been playing since the 1970s with renowned names such as Andre Heller, Hansi Dujmic, Maria Bill, Etta Scollo, Wolfgang Ambros, and many others. Christian Einheller completes the group; since 2018, he has been the drummer for Rainhard Fendrich and combines drums and percussion into a unique universe like few others. What Maria Ma draws from the hammered dulcimer, combined with her wonderful musicians, touches the soul.
